Chines Moo Moo year!

This is my daughter niece, name kate.
Actually, tak kena with my post also, because she's very cute that's why I wanna feature her in my post.

Well, I still think I should keep the final moment of my pg 1 day trip to later on, since now is CNY I should write something about CNY. My mummy said during this 15 days I can take ang pow, you can please send the ang pow of yours to me at this address M2-2x.. hahaha.. just joking. XD

The picture above is, of cause taken the day before CNY day it-self, the lunar 30th Dec. Nothing much but she's just so cute! =p

This is nothing new actually, a 2inch size mandarin orange. My sister took back alot and since it's so sweet and juicy, I think I've finished more than half of the box, by second day of new year the orange already disapeared from the basket on the table.

Recently I'd accidentally read someone's blog older post, it says:"I've been attach for X years and now am single, I'd forget how to become one.". But my saying here is:"I've been single for so many years, and I don't know how to be attach to someone.". XD

My grand aunty has this game started since last year, it's called fortune cookie.
It looks is this.
And you gonna have to break it and get the message inside, well, those message is actually your lottery number fortune. Believe it or not, mine says:"When you found your partner, all your wishes will come true.". Is it hinting to me that I'm gonna have a girlfriend this year? Nah.. my instinct tell me difference.

By the way, it's just a Amway product.. XD

Penang - 1day trip 3.0, "kek lok si"

1 Day trip to pg is really quite benefit, 3rd stop coming up now. Continue from the previous post, after we leave USM, we head towards "kek Lok Si" and "Air Itam Laksa".

When we reach "kek Lok Si", we saw a lot of red and yellow "Tang long". Those "tang long" not just place at one place, but all over "kek Lok Si".

When we went into those temple deeper, we then realiase that those "tang long" is dedicated for those who actually give their gift (sponsor money) to the temple, each of the "tang long" has a tag with their dedicator name and own number.

*Please click picture to enlarge

Actually once I reach this place, my camera can't stop snaping photos. Personally, I really like this picture, with those "tang long" and the smiling buddha make a perfect combination of colors.

Remember when you watch those TVB old china show, those door that you saw them poke through. Yes, then these two picture is taken through from those hole, quite a effect right, their facial expression is also quite funny though.

When we pass through this pond of water, I got pulled by aside by this two funny frog. My whole life I know that frog eat insects, but this is my first time knowing that there is vegetarian frog.. =p

After all those long and winding road, we came to the cable car which it will drag us up to the top of the hill.

On top of the hill got alot of animal status, but then this two big guy caught my attention. Guess what, these two big guy is playing scissors paper stone, and the guy facing the camera loss (stone loss to paper).

Overview of pg from the top of the hill.

After the long long walk, we ended up eating at the famous "Air Itam Laksa".
The combination of the Sugar Cane and the laksa is perfect. I like the laksa there because it serve with alot of fish, almost every mouth full of soup is fill with fish. And most important thing is, the laksa is not spicy.. hehehe..

If you plan to go visit this place, remember this Laksa sign. =)

After this stop, we head towards Gurney, the last stop of my 1day trip to pg.

Penang - 1day trip 2.0, QB & ST

Many of you must be thinking of what this QB and ST means.

Again just for fun:
QB: Queensbay.
ST: SNake Temple.

Yes, after the breakfast at mainland, jeff and I travel over to island, Thanks for being my driver the whole day jeff!

1st stop is to Queensbay Mall.
Nothing much in Queensbay mall because inside only sell expensive stuff, and stuff that not needed by me. I always tell my friends, Chinese New Year why buy so many new shirt, one is more than enough.
I was suppose to shoot the pg bridge from here but end up the picture not nice due to the super-duper wind almost blow my head off. And I realise that "toy-Rous" in Malaysia is much much slower than in Singapore.
*Define slow: outdate.

Decoration wise is good, better than alot of other places.

Wait...
Before we head towards Queensbay we were at the snake temple. Due to the renovation at the temple, nothing much there. But I guess even without renovation, nothing much there neither, I heard that the snake is getting lesser from time to time.

Temple color still look good from my shot but limited stuff, "kek lok si" is better.

These are some green viper snake that I found attracting, the background gold color look like the snake itself is a king.

After that we head towards to USM to fetch jeff girlfriend. Lovely couple from many angle, I even spy on them and shoot some costly picture, open for sale now.. hehehe...

Then after that we heard towards "kek lok si" but I think it won't be write here.

And Next on freddiezs.com: Penang - 1day trip 3.0, "kek lok si".

ops.. and sorry for being late, just back from Sitiawan for seafood though =p. Stay tune!

Nikkor 50mm f/1.8D has arrived!

Let's welcome my 3rd lens in the family, Nikkor 50mm f/1.8D! Nothing much to zoom for because this is just a 50mm lens, but the effect of this lens is worth more than just a piece of blur background picture.

Nikkor 50mm f/1.8D
*so coincidence that the image at my laptop is my Nikkor 55-200mm lens at my blog. =p

Confuse about the figure there? Me too.. XD

So, I'll leave you with this two (2) example below this.
Example 1: Notice that the focus is only on the big gold color 50 word on the box and the rest of the picture goes blur, this is exactly what is the proud-ness of this lens. Well, not to say that others lens cannot make it but this is just a lense best for portrait and it is easier and 100% workable at any time.

Example 2: Notice that the focus is on the word "FAN" and the rest of the picture goes blur. This lens is just amazingly nice.

No need to guess but yes, I'm at my home in Ipoh now for 3 weeks holiday started last week on the 11th of January until the whole week of Chinese New Year. During this 3 weeks I try to fix my new blog design and I try to update my blog every 2 days.

Penang - 1day trip 1.0

This is rather the first 1day trip experience that I had, and it's fall on this unfamiliar but yet famous island.

Penang, short for png, but when I type I write pg, is famous for food! like.. du-uh... And on this very exciting day, I woke up 0530 to catch a bus at 0630. Yes, indeed it is 6.30am! I decided to take townbus to parit buntar to meet with my ex-bf ex-roomate, but this tough jurney has just began!

Due to the timing of express buses, I decided to take townbus instead. So at 0630, I took a bus to kamunting, then change bus and redirect to parit buntar. Feel free to guess how long it took me to reach parit buntar. hehehe..

*This is my proof k.. XD

And so, I meet up jeff (ex-roomate!) and he suppose to take me to breakfast, but both famous "prawn noodle 虾面" and "mee hun gui 面粉糕" around mainland is not ready to serve because it's too early. T.T

Last choice, we head toward the famous "chai gui 菜糕".

This shop is located at a place where it's call jawi, and the name of the shop is called "jawi chai gui". <-- actually it's not, jeff from pg don't know the name of the shop and there isn't any shop name at that shop, so he make up this name.

When the guy serve, jeff keep taking the vegetable "chai gui 菜糕" and we end up got 5 plates of it. But the rest is just 1:1.

Pang guang chai gui 菜糕
* I don't know how to write pang guang in chinese word =p *

Jiu chai chai gui 九菜菜糕
For people who don't take much vegetable, please don't try this at home for the vegetable taste is superb!

And the rest I don't know their name, just see picture la k.. =)
This is really real crab meat serve together with it shell.

Nothing special, it's just deep fried "shui jiao 水饺".

This is fish inside the wraping, and with all the spices they use, this is much better than otak-otak in Malacca.

"tong hun 东粉"

Again, the name of this dish is unknown but it's really taste nice especially when serve with vinegar.

This very trip is quite tiring and exciting, not many places was covered but I can say it's perfect for one day trip. I shall keep the rest of the picture for next run.

But NEXT on freddiezs.com: Nikkor 50mm f/1.8D has arrived!

New Nikon Nikkor lense (NNNL)

About the title, I saja make a short form for it, cuz it so happend that all starting letter are similar. XD

Back to the real story. This week it self I'm gonna welcome two(2) lenses into my camera family.

First:
Nikon AF-S DX VR Zoom-Nikkor 55-200mm f/4-5.6G IF-ED

It's pretty cool though, now I can even snap pictures of those monkey lepaking at the back of my house in Malacca.

On the day that I bought this lens, I did a series of different zoom testing in the shop.

*It happend to be canon 40D screen protector but support NIKON!!

Actually the second lens that will join the family wasn't ready yet, still shipping over to Ipoh. So I'm gonna keep it for the later post.

But NEXT on freddiezs.com: Penang 1day trip 1.0.
