*tapping my own back.. and smile =)

*Yea.. you heard the robot! Do as he says, dude!

Just came back from dinner with some of the alpha, and I already felt like eating more stuff. As I finish dropping them at their respective place, I just felt like eating ice-cream, and I just has one good reason for it.

I've been keeping this word to my self, because in front of those still working people, I feel very bad mentioning it. Nevertheless, I must express a bit about it tonight. *Sorry to those you-know-who-you-are. =D

YES! Tomorrow is my LAST day at work! And I think I did well to deserve this ice-cream =D

Wall's MAGNUM - Almond

I also want to Thank those that always lepak with me after work, friends are very important when working. *Friends might not mean colleague, friend as in real friends =)

Let me use this opportunity to guide you through a bit of my working environment. =D
This is my only colleague, Ms.Txx. And the furthest chair you see, it is belong to my supervisor, Mr. Cxxxxx. Then the chair in between, nope, it's not mine. I'm taking picture at the position where my table and workplace are.

*Jeng Jeng Jeng!!
THIS is my table. Weighing 3 monitor, 3 keyboard, 3 mouse, and a double-wheel self-made-from-power-supply-fan!! But the saddest thing is.. I only had one CPU. >.<

The explanation would be: The center one is my work PC, and the other two sets of monitor, keyboard, and mouse is for support work. There is once when I'm very busy, I format two PC at the same time, plus a laptop in front of my left monitor for software issue, plus, plus, my own PC remote accessing some other PC for error troubleshoot. Yes, I can be very, very busy at work... sometime XP

For the last two months, workload so so only la >.<

What's my feeling now? I'm actually kinda worried, worrying what will happen after I left. Supposedly there is another intern under my guide, but University issue, he can't work here. Thus, my knowledge was not pass down to the next one. And my only colleague there.. .. let's cut the story short.

TOMORROW is the end, and throughout the week, the rest of the IS department staff is preparing my farewell, I felt so malu. >.< It can't be avoid, but I truly Thank God for this opportunity to experience a different working world.

MMU, here I come again!!

Post SG syndrome..

There is a few sign to begin with.. actually just a handful of it.

No frequent updates:
Unlike the time I was in SG, almost everyday I did one post. Maybe because due to the Kampung-ness of me in SG, blog almost everything I see.

Massive headache
After making my self a cup of "Ipoh White Coffee" i feel so much better. Is it a post Starbucks syndrome? hehehehe....

Maybe the line actually ends here, not much syndrome though.. =D

One of my thoughts in SG: Since I owned a Flickr account, paid, I should really use it for goodness sake. I remembered I still owe a lot of people photos, and yes, I'm good at remembering things that I owe people, and things that people owe me. Make it a good practice and relationship too =)

Bestest Lunch in SG!

When I woke up this morning, there are 3 email waiting at my mail box, two regarding to Mission X and one Blog comment.

Then I went on discussing some stuff with pastor, and later found out that I had this urge to go out for lunch. Where to? Since pastor ask me to drop by Christian Bookstore, and I did manage to find one at Simei, and so my plan for today's lunch is to drop by Tampines.

After all those business, I find my self at Tampines, going around from Tampines mall to Century Square, and back to Tampines 1. On the way I saw some places that interest me, and I also saw Starbucks. At the end of my round, guess what I found at Tampines 1?

Jeng Jeng Jeng... Carl's Jr!!

Knowing that CJ in SG has PORK, I walked in without hesitation!
And had myself order the most luxury meal at the moment; The Western Bacon ThickBurger®, top up to Beef Chili Cheese Fries.
*Click here to check the menu on Carl's JR web site.

It was a SUPER AWESOME burger, layered with Charbroiled 100% Angus Beef Patty, Three Strips of Bacon, Two Slices of Melted American Cheese, Crispy Onion Rings and Tangy BBQ Sauce on a Toasted Sesame Seed Bun, and my personal favorite self add on free Pickle.

The Fries is totally OWNED!

And you gonna have to love the thickness of the ThickBurger®.

I felt like I'd 3 person portion after finished that single meal. But nothings stop me from going to Starbucks, again!
Today's order would be, Caramel Mocha serve hot. Just have to like that place, Quiet, Soft Music, HOT Chick (Tampines famous for a lot of SIA air stewardess living there), and, I just love the Soft Atmosphere there, can do some serious thinking. =)

And today's bill is, SGD15.90 for CJ, and SGD6.30 for Starbucks. Again, dollar to dollar, this meal might cause me RM50++ back in Malaysia

Two interesting site to share.

As you know I am in SG and will be here until this Friday.

Loads of free time, due to the facts that I am too lazy to go out, plus I'd already done with my shopping list.

And because of all these free time, I actually browses a lot.. a lot! and also blog a lot.. a lot!

Come back to the main point:
Site #1: Twitter Twitpocalypse Status
Synopsis: Some of your favorite third-party Twitter services may not designed to handle Twitpocalypse, the sequence will suddenly rollover and restart from zero. At this point, they are very likely to malfunction or crash.

But Twitter is safe!

Check the site out to see the real time statistic of Twitter, you may never cease to be amazed.

Site #2: 15Malaysia
Synopsis: 15Malaysia is a short film project. It consists of 15 short films made by 15 Malaysian filmmakers. These films not only deal with socio-political issues in Malaysia, they also feature some of the best-known faces in the country, including actors, musicians and top political leaders. You may think of them as funky little films made by 15 Malaysian voices for the people of Malaysia.

Some featured people you might know: Yasmin Ahmad(‘Chocolate’ was featured, and also was her last film), Namewee明志(The famous Malaysian-taiwan-student rapper whom video was sued by out local government), Harith Iskander(the Malaysian actors and comedians), and more.

Outing in SG. 22/09/09 (Continue)

*Continues from the previous post.
At around hour 1930, Ying Xi came pick me up at Pasir Ris, together in the car is Adda, and Friend (I know your name start with G, I just couldn't recall now >.< ).

Everyone, this is:
Ying xi
,
Adda
,
and Friend.

I find ourself heading toward Geylang, and I was soon told that our dinner is Frog Leg Porridge. At first they were worried, asking me whether I eat Frog or not? Well, as a reply, "I eat everything!", and also because I am from Ipoh!

As a person who love FOOD, my critics for the porridge would be... I like the Frog Leg, together with the sauce it is actually very nice on porridge, but, it just that the porridge is a bit rough, need to smoothen it.

After dinner, I find that we are heading straight for dessert. For once I must say, the 豆花(Tou Fu Fa) is very smooth, the sugar water is also ginger-ish, it's a side by side compared to the one in Malaysia. The 油条(You Cha Gui) is huge! That's why it can't fit in my 35mm lens. It is also very nice if to dip into the Soya Bean drink!

During the dessert, Ying Xi found out that the Starbucks in Malaysia is ridiculously expensive, dollar to dollar comparison. To avoid confusion, she work part time in Startbucks. And as we were finishing up at the dessert place, she realized that there is a Starbucks opposite this shop, which is at Wilkie Edge.

Without hesitations, we actually head to Starbucks straight after we finished.

The menu is somewhat different from in Malaysia, and I find my self ordering Hazelnut Latte, recommended by Ying Xi (Though both the girl said they don't like coffee), and not to forget, she has staff card, and I got 20% off because of that!

We had a very nice time chatting at Starbucks, topics start from 1 to 10. And with that, we conclude our night outing!

Fact #4: Just in a day, I actually had two cups of Starbucks, dollar to Dollar comparison, I can have 3 cups of it in SG a single day, but in comparison, only one cup in Malaysia

Work 2k in SG and work 2k in Malaysia, I'm starting to draw my future path.

My Tribute to 'Yoshito Usui'.

*Yoshito Usui, person on the right.
Yoshito Usui(臼井仪人), the creator of Crayon Shin-chan(クレヨンしんちゃん[Kureyon Shin-chan]). Went Hiking alone on Sept 11, reported missing by family members on the same evening, was found and confirmed dead on 20th of Sept.

The world has lost a great/hilarious cartoonist. I might not have all the Shin-chan collection, but for those that I had, I really enjoy all those joke from him.

Yoshito Usui may leave us, the readers, in tear and sadness, but his manga will live forever.

I have no regret in buying another 5 packs of Crocodile Chocolate Biscuit, Which Shin-chan always like to eat, and I'm glad that I got it before I heard the sad news.

Farewell, and peace be with you Yoshito Usui Sensei.

CANDY EMPIRE.

Today after church, my sister and brother-in-law decided to drop by VIVO CITY because we found out a competition about photo shooting.

SO we decided to go try it out, maybe I can caught something in my camera that can send for the competition. The theme for the shooting is: VivoVity: Make It Your Place.

But sadly I only had one shot due to the fact that, there is nothing inspiring, and, I don't feel good in delaying the time there because it is with my sister and her family.

Nevertheless, guess what I found?

CANDY EMPIRE
Introducing to you, MARS - Limited Edition Dark Chocolate Bar, and CADBURY - Pinic Twin Pack. The whole shop is fill with Candies, that some you might not even know of, but this is the two that caught my attention away.

Sorry for not taking photo of the shop like I might usually did. Now a days when I tried to take out my camera in public, I feel very shy, because people keep looking at me like I'm some kind of reporter. Even Rev. Susan Tang don't allow me to take photo (*Those who know the story, you can laugh now XP) during her sermon.

By the way, just got my SG number, you might not wanna save it down but here goes: +6583674287.

That's all for today! =)

Tangkak Road Trip!

**Heavy picture post, please be patient before the picture loaded.
.:The Story Behind the Trip:.

It all started since last semester after Segamat Mission Trip. Kee Weng and I had the urge to go Tangkak for the beef noodle, and thus it was then dragged until last Friday night (11/09/09). We started planning the trip at around 11.45pm (Friday) and the process and invitation ended around 1.30am (Saturday), which cost Kee Weng to only had 2 hours sleep before final preparation to send her sister off to US. Gunung Ledang Waterfall is an extra plan, since we're heading toward Tangkak, and the Gunung Ledang is not far from there.

.:The People:.

From left to right, top to bottom: Kee Weng, Wayne, Sally, Karen, Joshua, Angel, Tze Phei, Felicia, Charlene, and my self (Which has no picture attach).

.:The Noodle:.

Beef noodle shop; Restaurant Kuang Fei. Who doesn't love beef? This place is awesome.

Gan's favorites! Cow! Imagine the guy laughing is Gan, got high after eating beef.. hahahha...

This is my first bow, I really love the soup! It's Awesome! But not so much liking on the beef itself, because it is a bit tough, listed as overcook in my dictionary. I love meat in Medium Rare; 30% cook.

And my second bow, since we come all the way from Malacca. And I like their Mee, I mean the noodle itself. See the uniqueness of it? Each strings of noodle is two sticking together, so symmetrical!

.:The Hike:.

The hike before reaching the waterfall was rather tiring and slow. With Five hundred over steps...

...a pregnant lady...

...and a girl in high hill shoe.
Pregnant lady part was just a joke. XD And our apologies to Karen for the last minute Gunung Ledang Waterfall plan and making you rushed from presentation.

.:The Scene:.

*Self explanatory #1*

.:The Waterfall:.

*Self explanatory #2*

.:The Chilling Process:.

Tze Phei trying to catch fish using bear technique (Technique: Waiting for the Salmon Fish to jump up! XD).

Kee Weng portrait as someone washing their Moon after toilet.

Felicia climbing the Waterfall.

The girls!

*Please do not try this at home!
Before we leave the waterfall to head back Malacca, Kee Weng, Wayne, and I just wanted to jump into the water to wet our self. I mean, seriously, the water is very cooling and cold, who doesn't wanna jump in?

First to go, Kee Weng!

Followed by Myself!

and, Wayne!
Don't ask us how it feels, it's AWESOME!!

.:The End:.

It's a very nice trip, manage to relax and enjoy a wonderful weekend with so many people. Almost "died" in the process of sliding down from the waterfall (Karen had the video XP), but overall, it is AWESOME!!

Till next trip, with some other of you who are not in those pictures. =)
